I am out of Romania! After the ride to Vatra Dornei the day before yesterday I spent the afternoon and evening with Maria - former Ghent resident! - and Alex, who were in the area for work. It's just great how smooth the arrangements for this and all the other meetings on this journey went. It really feels like people all over Europe - both friends, warmshowers- and other hosts and perfect strangers, but all unaware of each other existance - are joining efforts to give me the time of my life, taking care of me, pampering me, providing me shelter, food, good talks or just their mere presence. For more than one month i am only receiving, what do I give in return? I am just a cyclist saying thank you but gone the other day.
Yesterday on the long way home I took a train to Oradea - border city in the very west of Romania, and I cycled 70 km to Debrecen, Hungary. Today I caught the very early morning train to Vienna. I'll be there before noon, ready for the last two days ride all the way to the other side of Austria. Never stop riding yes indeed!
The song below the pictures served as the soundtrack of my Romanian train ride...
I want to sing, to dream and to laugh,
Don't want to forget to play sometimes.
And then when I will step into the world
don't want to forget to come back home.
